Holga

I put in so many hints and emailed JB so many links with ideas of what I wanted for Christmas, that I had no idea what I was getting.

I was totally surprised when I opened up this baby:

A Holga Camera!

Though I don't have much experience with the whole wet side of photogaphy (I did take photo 1 a few semesters ago and LIVED in the dark room), I have had my eye on one of these for a while. I looked into the original 120mm film size Holgas, but I decided to take the easy way out and go with the 35mm version. It seems much easier to buy film and get the film processed! I am all about easy.

HOPEFULLY I will soon be making beautiful Holga images like these:

All I know is that I have much to learn. Thank goodness for google and the WWW.

Christmas Card

I made a Christmas card this last week by taking one of the "Merry Christmas" shapes (below) that I designed for the silhouette and using it as a mask to spray paint the phrase on muslin.

The card was posted in the challenge gallery on the scrapbook trends card blog this week!

Christmas Tags

Christmas is almost here! There is pretty much no chance of buying something online from here on out and getting it by Christmas, which is a very sad thing for me. 95% of my shopping this year has been online and it has been great.

Yesterday I designed a few "print and cut" labels for the Silhouette and can't wait to try them out on something!

Gift Tags

I made these gift tags today and was way excited about how cute they turned out so I wanted to share. I used a grocery bag from trader joe's with a great winter pattern on it and cut out the tag shapes on my silhouette. Then, I stitched them all together on my sewing machine!

Also, if you check out Scrapbook Trends Card Making blog, these tags were chosen as part of the challenge gallery.

Joy!

Christmas is going to be here soooo soon! I still have a million things to do. Oh well.

I just stumbled across this link to Scrapscription, a scrapbook kit company. They are using my "Joy" artwork as part of their kit.
